Thanksgiving

Not alot has been happening since I did my last paddling trip.

Work has been crazy busy and I have been doing some puttering around the house.

Went and visited the Rents for the weekend over in the Ottawa Valley for Thanksgiving dinner.

Felt kind of strange driving that way with no boat on the car. I went through the highway 60 corridor through Algonquin park and was dissapointed that the colours were done and there we not many leaves left on the trees at all.

The weather was nice and sunny for the entire time.

I spent part of saturday up on my dads roof cleaning out the gutters and installing some leaf guards. Tip ... don't assume your father has read or found the instructions for the gutter guard. They were stuck in the bottom of the box and Ihad to rip the stuff out and re-install right side up.

After that we replaced the belts, a spring, and made some minor re-adjustments to the snow blower.

I did manage to shoot some of the fall colours around my dads place. The leaves were pretty much non-existence as all the heavy winds during the week had blown them off the trees

Sunday dinner was great ... had lots of ham, turkey, stuffing, sweet potato, and lots of other goodies with a nice glass of Jost Comtessa White Wine.

Left early this morning and made the 380km drive back home to my place before the road got crazy with all the cottagers heading back to Toronto.
